In Luther’s Small Catechism we read how the Holy Spirit “calls, gathers, enlightens, and makes holy the whole Christian church and keeps it united with Jesus Christ in the one common, true faith.” It is in the gathering for weekly worship that the Spirit unites us as a community of faith. It is at weekly worship where Christians come together for the fellowship that builds-up each one for his/her life in the world. It is at weekly worship where we are encouraged by God’s Word and fed at Christ’s table. It is at weekly worship where we receive assurance of the continuing love of God as we hear anew the promise of forgiveness.
Worship at St. Stephen is open, welcoming, and joyful. Weekly gatherings are on Sunday mornings at 9:00. All are welcome to be a part of the community as it is gathered by God’s own Holy Spirit.
